Just as Ján Kostka preferred scenes from contemporary Stupava life, Ferdiš and his son Arnošt also focused on the people and life of their native village. In the small, modest living room kitchen, which has always served as a workshop, the children have watched their father's work since childhood. In the last year of the Second World War, a nearby bomb blew down Kostka's oven just before it was about to be burned, and his entire six months of work was wasted. He set about repairing the destroyed furnace with his son Arnost, who then continued the family legacy. A significant contribution of the ceramic art of western Slovakia was the enrichment of the Haban-Slovak tradition with a new folk form, which was created by the reworking of the famous Holičská pottery. Excellent condition.
