Torsal statue of the Archangel Michael from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries with precisely executed details of the clothing. Church tradition places three angels among the archangels - Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. The cuirass on the offered statue refers to the attribute of the guardian archangel Michael, who was considered in the context of the Apocalypse as the conqueror of the Antichrist (the dragon) and the patron of soldiers. He often holds a sword or spear in his hands. This was a statue intended for the outdoors, which left numerous marks on the statue from the effects of rain and wind.
