Josef Král (1877 - 1914) LANSCAPE WITH A POND

Josef Král studied at the academy with Julius Mařák and later with Rudolf von Ottenfeld. He received a travel grant and painted in Germany and France. On his travels, he mainly painted environments with shipping and railways, but at home he painted pleasant atmospheric landscapes with village houses, rivers and trees in the evening light. Autumn Landscape with Pond is one of the exemplary examples of his style.
