Aegidius Sadeler (1570 - 1625) BARTHOLOMEUS SPRANGER AND CHRISTINA MULLER

Aegidius Sadeler was one of the masters of the graphic craft during the Mannerist period and was one of the court artists at the court of Rudolf II. The graphic epitaph, which is dedicated to Spranger and his late wife Christina, is not just a descriptive likeness of the two spouses, but in the true sense of understanding the finality of life, reflection and the ability to create works that can overcome death.
