His fired reliefs, sculptures and spatial decollages occupy a special place in Ovčáček's work. During the 1960s, interest in several movements crystallized in Bohemia, among them Constructivism and Lettrism, which Ovčáček devoted himself to. His interest in experimental poetry led to the creation of the Phonetic Dictionary in 1961-1962, based on phonetic-semantic wordplay, followed a year later by the artist's typographic poems - the cycle Kolotoče and Den královny Alžběty. At the same time, he exhibited his work abroad for the first time, at a group exhibition in Warsaw, and in 1966 he participated in a major exhibition in Prague with international participation entitled "Image and Typeface".
