Paul Haustein (1880 - 1944) ART DECO COVERED JAR

The impressive jar with an ivory lid and silver-plated ornamentation executed in a unique technique is model by Paul Haustein, who designed it for the famous German company WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) under the number 110-216. WMF had its greatest heyday during the Art Nouveau period, when objects for everyday use such as candlesticks, salt cellars, etagere and cutlery were made.
