Kamil Lhoták (1912 - 1990) GIRL IN A RED COAT

The dazzling individuality of Kamil Lhoták, which he projected into his graphics, combines playfulness with poetics and carefully thought out colors. The fragments of reality that Lhoták captures are dreamlike brief glimpses of a unique atmosphere. A girl in a red coat with a bewitching uncompromising gaze of a femme fatale became the central motif of the poster for the last exhibition during the author's lifetime - in 1989 at the Fronta gallery.
