Ota Janeček (1919 - 1996) NUDE

In the 1970s and 1980s, Ota Janeček's work is dominated by a dreamy and fragile line. When it came to drawings of girls or female nudes, they permeate Ota Janeček's work continuously and represent a time-lapse document of his approaches. At first, he was based on Amedeo Modigliani, but through gradual chiselling, he reached his own intimate position of the drawing, which is above all intensely felt and completely brilliantly, even calligraphically, mastered in an ingenious shorthand.
