Jiří Bradáček (1922 - 1984) A METAL FLOWER

Bradáček's work was a continuation of pre-war cubism, but he eventually arrived at his own abstract morphology. He was at the birth of the Krok 57 art group, one of the first post-war art groups in the country. He received an honorable mention for his sculpture Wounded Bird at the prestigious La Triennale di Milano in 1956 and the SKNV prize in Ústí nad Labem for his art work in 1961. He was represented at many important exhibitions of Czechoslovak art at home and abroad.
