From the expert opinion of PhDr. Naděžda Blažíčková-Horová: "The composition depicts a village cottage located in the very center of the snowy landscape. It is surrounded by a few trees without leaves and a wire, sometimes broken fence. The scenery captures the real Czech winter in the countryside - a simple theme, but impressively crafted. The painter often and gladly captured the winter atmosphere in nature. Blažíček was a painter of the open air, in all seasons he painted in the open air directly under the required shot. The presented Winter Landscape with a Cottage, probably a motif from the painter's native region - Vysočina, testifies to Blažíček's special art of concisely expressing the winter mood. "
