Buffet: 203 x 217 x 70 cm; Table: 79 x 139 x 109 cm; Chairs: 100 x 44 cm; Showcase: 201 x 101 x 61 cm; Side table: 72 x 50 x 50 cm; Folding tables: 72 x 53 x 35 cm. The set of Art Nouveau dining room furniture with the author's Waigant's decorative style on the border of the lush French and Kotěra's Czech Art Nouveau consists of a total of eight chairs, a dining and side table, sliding tables, a large buffet, and a display case. A significant element is the stylized columns with decorations between the flutes inspired by the non-European exotic style permeating organic morphology. The drawers include two stylized Art Nouveau keys made especially for this set. This truly remarkable architect and designer, Bohumil Waigant, was one of Jan Kotěra's most important followers, together with Josef Gočár. It is worth mentioning the architect's realizations in Hradec Králové (Cardův dům, Julišův dům or Tesař's Villa) or the facades of many houses in Vinohrady, Prague. He collaborated on his projects with his brother Antonín Waigant, after which both brothers were allowed to design houses with complete interior equipment down to the smallest detail. The contractor of the furnished furniture was Emil Gerstel Prague (signed at the chateau), which was one of the most sought-after and most prestigious furniture workshops, which realized Art Nouveau designs by Czech architects. Restored.
