Central Anatolia, Kayseri, around 1930. Beautiful Turkish medallion rug made of natural silk, hand-knotted, in a more muted color combination and with an extremely rich floral design. In the field and in the borders, you can admire stylized tall cypresses (with their longevity and warmth always popular in Islamic art and considered a symbol of life), as well as poppy flowers, roses and carnations among the stylized foliage and flocks. Extremely nice old specimen.
