The elegant clock case, set with an allegorical figure holding a torch and a snake, is held up by a pair of dolphins on an ornately decorated black-and-gold base with a pendulum in the shape of an angel holding burning torches. The back fire-gilt engraved bronze clock door is lined with red cloth. With a chime on the quarter hour, the clock has a date indicator, slightly damaged enamel dial with Arabic numerals, center circle with fire-gilt bronze foliage motif, steel hands and date dial, two hammer chime. Original condition.
