Brought to life with gentle brushstrokes, this is an elegant and precise nude of a young woman with a dreamy gaze. Seated on the sideboard of the bed, the young woman gently holds her chin as part of her smooth body is tastefully covered by a scarlet red fringed skirt. Oldřich Homoláč is an exponent of Bohemian Art Nouveau, specifically the Naturalism phase. In 1896 he co-founded the Mánes art association.
