This Italian white Carrara marble bust is based on the Coronation of Emperor Napoleon I, the imperial branches following the style of the Roman emperors. The statue was probably created in an Italian sculpture workshop in the early 19th century based and modelled on the Napoleon bust that can be seen at Lady Levere Art Gallery in the United Kingdom. The base is made of grey Palissandro Bluete marble.
