At the forefront of Vladimír Boudník's oeuvre is his infinite imagination. His prints attempt to ignite the audience's imagination as well. His innovation strongly influenced opinions about printmaking and ushered in the beginnings of Art Informel, a purely abstract movement. This print, which was created during a period of liberal reform towards the end of his life, presents all the elements of his inimitable style. Flashes of the real world, in the form of a female torso and a horse on short legs, which appears in several other Boudník works, are the artist's reference to the complex nature of the times in which he lived.
