Oldřich Koníček (1886 - 1932) LANDSCAPE WITH HOUSES

In the 1920s Oldřich Koníček exhibited widely in Prague, elsewhere in the country and abroad. In the first half of the 1920s, Koníček's work leaned towards neoclassicism, inspired by the paintings of Renaissance and Classical painters. The final stage of his work is associated with a departure from the importance of line, the expression of the painting is carried by harmonious and expressive colour. Landscape and figurative painting predominate.
