Antonín Procházka studied at UMPRUM, and then at AVU with prof. V. Bukovac, H. Schwaiger and M. Švabinský. Like many of his peers, he was not satisfied with academics, so he did not finish school and preferred to go with E. Filla and B. Feigl to Berlin, from where they continued to other European capitals to get acquainted with current painting trends. In the 1920s, he leaned towards neoclassicism to poetic primitivism, the work marked "Original etching of the national artist Ant. Procházka".
