Ludvík Vacátko (1873 - 1956) MARES WITH FOALS

Ludvík Vacátko was born in Simmering near Vienna, spent part of his life in an officer's coat and in the meantime studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. He also continued in Paris, Vienna and Munich, and thanks to his abilities, Luděk Marold chose him as an assistant in the creation of the Battle of Lipany. Ludvík Vacátek's work is thematically very consistent - he admired and loved horses and painted them very successfully in all different forms, with and without figural staff. He rode, attended races and in his work projected the fate of a horse and a man on the path of life and history.
