The drawing belongs to the series of illustrations to the collection of poetry by Boris Pasternak from 1989. Although Vitkor Pivovarov has lived in Prague for decades, he is also celebrated in Moscow - as one of the founders of the famous Moscow Conceptualism. Under the previous regime, these were ignored artists, but today they are representatives of a well-preserved Russian avant-garde and cultural consciousness that is fading due to various ideologies.
