Gustav Macoun (1889 - 1934) LANDSCAPE WITH HILLS

Gustav Macoun was one of the painters whose desire to paint showed itself from early childhood. Landscape with hills with a broken horizon is shrouded in a slight bluish haze and contrasts with the lush green meadows in the foreground. After completing primary education, Gustav Macoun studied with Alois Kalvoda and Antonín Slavíček. He followed Antonín Slavíček all his life and painted landscapes with a touch of impressionism.
