JAPANESE EDO PERIOD CABINET

A rectangular black and gold lacquered Japanese cabinet from the Edo period (1603-1867) with two doors opening onto eight drawers of various shapes. The individual leaves decorated with floral motifs. The lacquered decor, marked in English as 'coromandel' technique with Japanese scenery motifs, is complemented by brass fittings. Without key.
