Czech painter, graphic artist and illustrator, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Prof. Vlaho Bukovac and František Thiele. However, he did not complete his studies. Flowers and landscapes around the Berounka River were among the most representative examples of Václav Špála's work, bearing cubist shape reductions.
