Vlastimil Rada enriched Czech landscape painting with scenes from the Železnobrod region. Village houses in a gloomy winter landscape, motifs with simple stories of people following the Alsatian tradition are the main features of his work. He is a representative of the modern national tradition in Czech landscape painting between World War I and World War II. He has a permanent exhibition in the Vlastimil Rada Municipal Gallery in Železný Brod.
