Kamil Lhoták's name has become synonymous with the environment of modern civilization and its attributes, seen with admiration, poetic preoccupation and a certain amount of romantic nostalgia. However, this is not only about the limited circle of the author's themes, his relationship to the neglected, romantic periphery and the most prominent bearers of technical civilization, machines and people, but above all about the poetic atmosphere of the paintings. He attributed archetypal qualities to his motifs – crystalline purity and timelessness.
