At first, Karel Kupka painted landscapes and still lifes with oil paints, later he devoted himself to his typical watercolors. His paintings depict the beauty of the landscape from northern Bohemia, the Bohemian Central Mountains, southern Bohemia, which he loved so much, to the mountainous hills of Šumava.
