Adolf Hoffmeister (1902 - 1973) VIRUSES

Adolf Hoffmeister was a Czech writer, publicist, playwright, painter, cartoonist, translator, diplomat, lawyer and traveler. He has been active in cultural life as an illustrator and poet since the early 1920s, among others becoming a founding member of Devětsil, a collaborator of the Liberated Theater and later the E. F. Burian Theater, for some time (1930-32) he also worked as an editor of Lidové noviny. He created the work Viruses for his doctor.
