Cyril Bouda, in addition to his extensive painting and graphic work, was also significant for his pedagogical activities. In the years 1946–1972 he worked as a professor at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. He first devoted himself to free graphics and painting. All his life he worked as an illustrator of books, especially fairy tales, Czech legends, humorous and historical books. He also translated his illustrations into cartoons. He was, among other things, a graphic designer-designer of Czechoslovak stamps.
