Antonie Brandeisová (1849 - 1926) HOUSE IN VENICE

Antonie Brandeis found the focus of her work in Italy, where she lived and worked permanently until her death. She painted mainly in Venice, Florence and Rome. She regularly hung her paintings at the exhibitions of the Krasoumné jednota in Prague, where they were popularly bought by collectors. The present work testifies to Brandeis's talent as a painter, her knowledge of perspective and her cultivated Old Master colouring. She exhibited throughout Italy, as well as in Melbourne and London. The work is accompanied by an expert opinion by Nadězda Blažíčková-Horová, PhD.
