František Maria Černý asked himself fundamental questions in his work. Is there a perfect shape? Perfect architecture? Architecture, in his view, did not look back to the past, but only forward to the future. František Maria Černý adopted this vision for his functionalist buildings and looked for a possible overlap in the De Stijl movement. The link between the work of Le Corbusier, the De Stijl movement and the work of František Maria Černý is a thorough investigation in order to search for perfection, harmony and the ideal form. He saw perfection in simplicity and purity of form.
