Pair pictures of biblical motifs Adoration of the Magi and Annunciation. Both events have been popular in the fine arts since Romanesque times, both in painting and sculpture. In the case of the Annunciation, Mary is caught praying in a room by the pulpit, the Archangel Gabriel is dressed in a pluvial with a large clasp and holds a scepter in his hand. In the case of the Annunciation, Mary is not depicted on the throne, but in a relatively simple dress and is approached by representatives of known continents.
