Pieter de Jode (1570 - 1634) (attributed) GOD CREATING ANGELS

Pieter de Jode was born into the prominent Antwerp map maker family, where he gained experience under his father's guidance. He first paraphrased Bartholomeus Spranger and studied under guidance of Hendrik Goltzius. He created many engravings of well-known works of art and also created portraits himself.
