Antonín Hamsík (1946) A VISIT BY SEASHELL

A Visit by Seashell is an example of the non-commissioned work of painter, printmaker and conservator Antonín Hamsík dating from the 1960s. After studying at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague under Professor František Muzika, Hamsík dedicated years of his life to restoring murals and paintings and to printmaking (lithography, woodcuts, wood engraving, drypoint and colored etchings). He returned to painting in 2015, inspired by various situations from life and often various genres of literature.
