The theme and environment of motorcycle races are typical for Lhoták. This rare item was created for a short animated film by director Čeněk Duda about a toddler who, before his mother buys him a new carriage, is able to win a cycling race in his old one. Tempera on cardboard. Signed and dated on bottom right "Kamil Lhoták 1948". Inscription on back: Background for the animated film "Závodník", produced in 1948. From a private German collection.
