Jaroslav Král (1883 - 1942) STILL LIFE WITH A BOUQUET

Jaroslav Král was especially famous for his female nudes and portraits. His efforts to perfect the artistic form led to a tendency towards a cubist form. At the end of the 1930s, Jaroslav Král's work turned thematically towards the home. The works show solid volumes and a leaning towards a neoclassical vision of the world, the palette is pastel-soft, suffused with warm tones. Bravura brushwork and light work give the still lifes the atmosphere of a dreamy summer afternoon.
