Vladimír Skrepl (1955) ROEBUCK

Vladimír Skrepl's paintings deviate from traditional aesthetics, are intuitive, expressive and create tension. They often make people wonder and worry. Vladimír Skrepl works with the dynamics of the movement of the brush and takes painting out of the usual field. Vladimír Skrepl studied art history at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno between 1976 and 1982, and since 1994 he has been the head of the Malba II studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In 2007 he was awarded the Jiří Kovanda Award and in 2009 he became the laureate of the Michal Ranný Award.
