Ivan Steiger is a known cartoonist who for years used allegory to address contemporary political, moral and social themes. The entire world immediately understood Steiger's mutely communicating figures. During the Prague Spring they became public street art: his drawn ideas appeared in chalk on walls of buildings and the sides of tanks. The publication Ivan Steiger/Sui Generis shows that he is an equally excellent painter, whom the public long did not know.
