Thomas Pennant (1726 - 1798) BRITISH ZOOLOGY - NEW EDITION

The massive volumes gradually depict mammals, birds, waterfowl, amphibians, snakes, fish, crustaceans and worms in text and on 294 copperplate boards with images. Some are marked in the album by Paillou, Edwards, Griffiths, Stubbs. Especially valuable is the participation of Peter Paillou (1720-1790), a British master of ornithological book illustration.
