Vlastimil Košvanec (1887 - 1961) SUMMER AFTERNOON

Genre painting of a decent female double act, to which Vlastimi Košvanec dedicated many elaborations. Loving beauties of pale skin in contrast with the bright red umbrellas and lush green vegetation painted very gladly and often. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague with professors V. Bukovac and V. Hynais. He traveled to Italy, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Albania and the Adriatic. He was a member of the Umělecká Beseda group. On the reverse, an author's label with the complete specification of the work.
