Antonín Střížek (1959) STILL LIFE ACCORDING TO J. SUDEK

Antonín Střížek was born in Rumburk and his domain is mainly painting and graphics. His paintings are represented, for example, in the National Gallery in Prague, the Central Bohemian Gallery in Prague, the Benedikt Rejt Gallery in Louny, the Gallery of Fine Arts in Roudnice nad Labem, the Nazionale d'Arte Moderna San Marino and also runs a painting studio at the Academy of Fine Arts. His paintings are characterized by formal and content discretion and thematically focus on various locations of urban landscapes and still lifes. His work on photography is also reflected in the work Still Life by J. Sudek. Although he does not paint according to the photographs, Sudek's treatment of the still life apparently inspired him so much that he decided to paraphrase him as a painter.
