Petr Holeček (1976) REVERIE

When Petr Holeček discovered the technique of casting bronze into a lost form, there is a fundamental twist in his artistic work. This material and technology allows him to materialize hitherto unrealized thoughts and ideas. It is Dreaming that embodies both the endless possibilities of this technique and the potential of dreaming itself, which hovers over darker and coarser matter like an imaginary golden bubble. Gradually, it leaves the abstract rendering and bronze sculptures take on an increasingly figurative character. He regularly participates in major sculpture exhibitions in Ireland, and has also presented exhibitions in Poland and the Czech Republic. In 2010, he won the Mill Cove Award at The 25th Sculpture in Context Exhibition in Ireland.
