The frame as an independent work of art represents an artifact created by Jan Saudek. Using the technique of assemblage, he completes the frame thanks to the found objects and gives rise to a kind of personal spatial collage. Due to the dating and recurring motifs of Czech lions, stars and keys, such a frame may represent a cry into space in response to the emerging socio-political tragic situation. The frame is usually an imaginary boundary that forms the framework of the author's creative message. Here, however, it delimits emptiness and is glued together from often very diverse objects without internal logical coherence. Certificate of authenticity from the author is attached and it also includes a letter with dedication.
