The title in a rich full-page border with the characteristics of heraldry, cartography, art, military, trade and seafaring, followed by a full-page portrait of the author. Text in French in two columns, single double line, initials, printed marginals. Furthermore, with 55 almost full-page ostentatious engraved costumes, portraits with appropriate qualities of Dutch monarchs, high nobility, military leaders and important personalities until the end of the 16th century. They were created by Christoffel van Sichem I (1546-1624), a representative of the so-called Golden Dutch era, a printer and publisher, a renowned author of engraving, etching and woodcuts. The 2nd title page is missing. Full title: La grande chronique ancienne et moderne, de Hollande, Zelande, Weest-Frise, Utrecht, Frise, Overyssel et Groeningen, jusques a la fin de l´an 1600. 2 volumes.
