Two drawings by Josef Lada, a well-known Czech illustrator, are an example of his unmistakable handwriting. These paired pictures represent rural motifs with a crying baby and animals in a stable. Scenes that are present in his entire work, which is based on events in his native Hrusice. The icon of Czech painting and illustration with a typical handwriting of a strong line and rounded figures belongs to the celebrations of folklore holidays and we commemorate his work each year in the form of calendars, greeting cards and postcards with reproductions.
