Robert Piesen was one of the artists who experienced the horrors of war and carried its traces in himself throughout all his life. Still, he was able to create poetic dream compositions that evoke foreign landscapes. In the early 1960s, Robert Piesen was influenced by the flow of non-figurative abstract creation, which became prevalent among many artists at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. He used the exhibition in Zurich in 1965 to emigrate and settled in Israel.
