Oil on canvas. Signed "Petr Maixner 1853" on bottom left. One of the artist's early works, it was exhibited at the Bohemia Art Society exhibition in Prague in 1851. The painting is listed in the artist's monograph: Marie Slavíková and Hana Volavková: Život a dílo Petra Maixnera, Prague 1934, p. 49, no.37; with the same dimensions and same date. The work was probably signed and dated later, at the time of sale. Assessment: PhDr. Naděžda Blažíčková-Horová.
