From the opinion of Prof. PhDr. Petr Wittlicha CSc: "On a grassy hill, leafy trees and bushes stand out against a cloudless sky. To the left and right, the roofs of rural buildings. Closer to the viewer, on the left and right, there are isolated boulders, a large log rests on the smaller one on the left. Authenticating annotations on the back of the painting agree that it is an early work by Antonín Slavíček from around 1895. Slavíček's authorship can be confirmed with the fact that the mentioned dating needs to be corrected. He painted in the vicinity of St. Boleslav and in Polabí around 1890. This dating also corresponds to the artistic conception of the painting. We can already recognize Slavíček's spirited handwriting in it, but in terms of color it still belongs to the period when the painter finished the surface of the painting with a gray tone, which was also reflected in the darkening of the dominant green color. It is a quality work of Slavíček's young art." The verso is credited with the authentification of the son of Jan Slavíček and V. Beneš.
