Martin Šárovec (1977) STARDUST 2/ S. FREUD

Martin Šárovec is one of the unique contemporary portraitists who emphasize the expression of the face in combination with a slightly pop art tone. But he is inspired by many different directions. The Stardust turn series includes many portraits of famous personalities and paraphrases of works of art. Šárovec's painting combines two traditions: it is based on the Czech expressionist school of the beginning of the 20th century and enriches it with a special reflection of the so-called Czech grotesque of the 70s and 80s of the same century. He graduated from DAMU and VŠUP.
