Karel Špillar did not view the character in the same way as his teacher Ženíšek, the character was rather a part of the plot. He liked vivid and pastel tones, which he stirred up in an impressionistic spirit and placed the figures in different seasons, when young girls in nature act as a metaphor for her awakening, flourishing life or rest.
