A BAROQUE PIETA

The small wooden carving depicts the Virgin Mary seated with the dead body of Jesus in her lap with her head to her right side. Mary leans slightly towards the body of Christ, her head covered by a veil. The statuette is full-plastic, schematically carved on the back. Excellent preserved condition.
